Making Peace with Art
Dear Friends of Eyedart studio gallery,
Feeling conflicted, anxious, ambivalent? Visit the "Making Peace with Art" exhibit opening on October 2 at Eyedart. While the exhibit is no band-aid for angst, it is a rich exploration of the challenges and beauty of a life's work in fine arts.
Six Goshen College current and former art faculty will display pieces on the theme in mediums including jewelry, painting, sculpture, and painting. Join us for an opening reception, Friday, October 2, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. to meet participating artists Marvin Bartel, John Blosser, Abner Hershberger, Merrill Krabill, John Mishler and Judy Wenig-Horswell.
It's a rare opportunity to see the work of this talented group in one show so we're especially grateful to Goshen College for underwriting the event. Exhibit dates: October 2 - November 21.
Next up: Painless - but Provocative!
Contemporary American and Italian Artists on Paper
Eyedart hosts a traveling international show featuring eleven American and eleven Italian artists each displaying two wildly diverse works on paper. The exhibit pauses at the gallery for eight weeks before moving to Milan and then Rome, Italy. Whatever your pleasure, traditional to nutty, there's sure to be something to pique your attention.
Join us for the delicious combo of wine and art and meet show curator, Scott Hatt, on Friday, December 4, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. If you can't make it that Friday, you'll have until January 30, 2010 to catch a glimpse and purchase a piece from this creative collection!
Happy fall!
