Much of a city’s history and our nation’s short history are contained in our architecture. Downtown main streets, great civic buildings, churches and historic residential areas define where we’ve been. In contrast, strip malls, fast food restaurants and suburban cul-de-sacs demonstrate our priorities and desires today.
Whether I’m walking in a large city or a small town, I enjoy finding and recording the defining historical moments I discover with photographs, drawings and paintings.
